QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
So I just bought this and received it today thank you! So how do you suggest I connect this? I am making an industrial lamp with this USB port. I would like to tie it in with the light cord, not sure if I can or not. I am using a pull string for the light so I have constant hot feed on the cord if I choose to do this. Any suggestions
To use this USB port you will need to connect it to a DC power supply. The one I use in my lamps gives an output of 5vdc 10w. Than I connect the power supply directly to the hot feed before the lamp switch, that way the charger still charges when the light is turn off.

I'm using your USB Port and power supply in a cage light. I'd like to also put a dimmer on the bulb. How best to wire the unit so that I can dim the light but the charger voltage remains constant? I"m thinking the dimmer has to be after the power supply...otherwise the USB voltage would vary based on the dimmer. Thanks
The USB charger should definetly be connected before any dimmer or on/off switch, if installed after the dimmer would restrict the needed current and the switch would just shut it off.

I ordered 2 usb ports but forgot to order the dc power supply.
To include the power supply is an option you must select before adding to cart.

How many USB ports can you connect to the power supply?
The Power supply is meant for only 1 USB port, if you connected it to 2 I belive it would split the charging power between the two ports (note: i have not tested this theory)
